Tarland

Pittenderich – Parked just off the B9119 Aberdeen to Tarland Road at the start of the vehicle track leading to The Petts, north-east of Tarland, and walked up passed this property, which appeared unoccupied. It was then along various tracks to the west end of Pittenderich then up a heather covered fire break to the open summit and large cairn. The return was by the upward route.

Craig Glas and Bonlee Hill – Managed to get my vehicle onto the verge at the junction of the A97 Dinnet to Strathdon Road with the unclassified road leading to Migvie and walked briefly north along the A97. I then followed a vehicle track west through the forest where some of the trees had been harvested. Beyond I came to a gate then a junction of tracks where I headed north-west below Craig Glas later leaving this track and walking through heather to reach the summit of the Sub Dodd.

I returned to the junction of tracks and walked along the one going south-west before leaving it to cross some heather to join an ATV track that led to the summit of the Tump, Bonlee Hill. The return was back to the junction of tracks then through the wood to the start.

Baderonoch Hill: Parked at the entrance to the forest on the east side of the A97 Dinnet to Strathdon Road, just north of Sunnybrae, and walked north-east along this forest track. I initially went left at a junction but returned and followed the right hand track which soon deteriorated and became a rough path later emerging from the trees beside a lochan. From there I climbed through long heather to the summit trig point and cairn on Baderonoch Hill.

Before reaching the highpoint of this Tump I came across an ATV track which I used to return to the lochan before heading back through the forest as per the approach route.
