We had planned to head south-west of Auchnasheen but heavy rain in Inverness delayed our departure and instead it was decided to head back to Strathconon which we visited the previous day. On this occasion we only went as far as Loch Achonachie at the east end of the glen and parked at the entrance to Fairburn Wind Farm.
The main gates were secured by several padlocks but a pedestrian gate allowed access to the road leading to the wind farm and followed this road until near the top of the hill. Here we left it and crossed some rough ground to reach the summit of the Tump, Beinn an Rubha Riabhaich, marked by a trig point and cairn.
As the weather was improving we spent some time at this summit before descending north then north-east across some wet ground to reach the summit of the Tump, Creag Mhor.
From there we descended north-west to the access road used earlier in the day joining it beside the brick building being part of the wind farm. We then followed the access road back to the start.
