Stirlingshire

Parked beside the Keir Roundabout at the head of the M9 south of Dunblane then walked along the tarred road towards Park of Keir. At the bin storage area prior to reaching this property entered the woods where the trees were well spaced and a path led to a stone dyke. It was then a short walk to the mossy boulder which marked the summit of the Tump, Gallow Hill.

North-east of Bridge of Allan was Black Hill. I left my vehicle in the car park at Pendreich Woods and crossed a knoll to reach a vehicle track which led to a gate in a deer fence. Beyond it a path ran below the south-side of this Tump so I left this path and crossed some rough vegetation and brash to reach the high point which was beside a tree stump.

The Tump, Abbey Craig, is the hill containing the Wallace Monument at Causewayhead, Stirling. I left my vehicle in the monument car park and walked up the path to the monument where I strolled round the exterior before returning to the start.

The final hill for the day, Kings Park, was located within the city of Stirling. I parked in Douglas Terrace, walked through a gap between houses and headed north-west along a path at the rear of these properties. It took a while to find a suitable route, albeit a rather steep climb through trees and an embankment to reach a tarred path which passed the summit of this Tump. I continued along the path and found a more suitable descent route to my car.
