From the unclassified road north-west of Westhill, Aberdeenshire, and south of Auchronie Cottages, I crossed a dyke/fence and a field to enter a second field where cattle were feeding immediately below the summit of the Tump, Auchronie Hill. I therefore diverted into the wood, walked round fallen trees, and approached the summit mound from the west. On returning to the nearby field I took a more direct route back to my car.
