Huntly

The Bin: Parked just off the A96 Huntly to Keith Road, north-west of Huntly, and walked along tracks later marked with yellow then white marker posts to the summit of this Hump. The return was by the upward route.

Boddum Hill: Parked in the ‘Forest Walks’ car park, on the east side of the A96 Huntly to Keith Road, north-west of Huntly and south-east of Ordbrae. Initially I followed the red and blue marked trail but left it and walked through some long and rough vegetation to reach the summit of this Tump.

I descended north and followed a number of tracks to locate a route onto Ordiquhill but failed and returned to the start.

Battle Hill: From the car park at the east end of Huntly followed marked paths which led to the summit area of Battle Hill. The highest point of this Tump was some rough vegetation and brash beside a cut down tree.

Ba’ Hill: This Tump was located to the south of Huntly. I parked to the south-east of the hill near Wester Newbigging and followed forest harvesting vehicle tracks to the summit area. The highest point wasn’t that clear but was amongst the cut timber or brash. The return was by the upward route.
