We parked in Glen Roy at the end of the public road, accessed from Roy Bridge on the A86 Spean Bridge to Newtonmore Road, and walked north along the tarred road to Brae Roy Lodge then followed the estate track over the Turret Bridge into Glen Turret. Here the track deteriorated into a rough path and at the bridge over the Allt Eachach we left the path and climbed steeply north onto Teanga Mhor. The cloud lowered briefly as we crossed some peat hags before making the final ascent to the summit of Carn Dearg (North).
After a break here we descended south then on my own I continued south-east before climbing the Graham Top, Meallan Odhar, where I visited a few rocks as I couldn’t tell which was highest. I then descended south-west to the col with Carn Dearg (South) and climbed to the summit of this Corbett where I re-joined my walking companions.
We descended south-west to Sron a’Ghoill, and then crossed a wet and boggy area, before a fairly steep drop through heather, grass and lower down some bracken to reach the estate track in Glen Turret. We then returned along the outward route back to the car.
