Applecross

Accompanied by some friends we set off from the car park at the Bealach na Ba between Kishorn and Applecross  and walked along the vehicle track towards the communication tower on Sgurr a’ Chaorachain.

My companions were headed for this Corbett but my interest was on the two Graham Tops to the north. I left them and the track and crossed rough and rocky ground before descending to below Sgurr a’ Chaorachain Far North Top. I then climbed to its summit marked by a boulder.

From there I descended through more rough and rocky ground avoiding a couple of fissures to reach the col with Carn Dearg.

I then climbed to the summit of this Graham Top visiting a few points as I couldn’t tell which was the highest.

I returned to the col and from there made a rising traverse back towards the car park but this route involved several undulations.
