Aberdeen and Donside

Gillahill: This Tump was located on the north side of the Lang Stracht in the City of Aberdeen. I had visited the start of this hill on a couple of occasions but the summit was within a crop field. On this occasion the crop had been harvested so I set out from the Lang Stracht and crossed the stubble field to the summit. The return was by the approach route.

Glack Wood: From the unclassified Dunecht to Kemnay Road, near access road to Backhill of Glack, vehicle tracks and paths to the summit of the Tump, Glack Wood. The return was by the upward route.

Manabattock Hill: From near the road end at Terpersie, accessed from the minor road at Tullynessie north of Alford, walked along the road to Dubston Farm. Once round the farm buildings I followed the vehicle track north-east along the edge of the forest then towards Fouchie Shank. I left this track and headed up the side of a tributary of the Esset Burn then it was through the trees to the summit of the Tump, Manabattock Hill. The return was by the ascent route.
